This project finances the construction of riverbank revetments, construction and rehabilitation of flood embankments, training for communities to maintain the structures and to manage flood and erosion risks at the community level. The project will construct about 50 kilometers (km) of riverbank protection structures, rehabilitate and construct 89 km of flood embankments with climate-resilient design, and construct innovative riverbank protection structures on a trial basis.
