Project Description
According to ADB website, ADB is helping Cambodia rehabilitate about 1,000 kilometers of rural roads in nine provinces. The project will provide all-year road access in Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Kampong Cham, Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Speu, Kampong Thom, Pursat, Siem Reap, and Takeo. It will also include road maintenance, a community-based road safety program, and climate change adaption measures. The expected outcome of the project is safe, cost effective, all-year road access provided in remote agricultural areas of the aforementioned seven provinces, which has a large proportion of Cambodia’s rural poor. This project is associated with several closed projects: ADB-42334-012, ADB-42334-013 and ADB-42334-016.
