According to the IDB, this Technical Cooperation (TC) aims to support the design and implementation of the work plan of the Amazonian Cities Forum. The specific objectives are: (i) to support the institutional development of the Forum and its process of incorporation into the scope of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO); (ii) to support the organization and execution of thematic and annual meetings between authorities of the member cities of the Forum to promote the exchange of experiences among local governments, strategic partners, and other relevant actors; and (iii) to implement innovative initiatives for the reduction of climate risks in the Amazonian cities.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
