As stated by the IADB, the general objective of this project is to develop the tools and structure necessary for the consolidation of indigenous and small farmers' territories (TIOC). The specific objectives are: (i) to develop the legal and procedural regulations for the creation of a fund for the consolidation of TIOC; (ii) to establish the Fund's management and administration team; and iii) to strengthen the technical capacities of the Instituto Nacional de Reforma Agraria (INRA; National Institute for Agrarian Reform) and prioritized TIOC to reduce deforestation and increase sustainable forest management.
The funding will come from the following sources:
Amazon Bioeconomy and Forest Management Fund (AMZ): US$400,000.00
AgroLAC 2025 Multidonor Trust Fund (MAG): US$300,000.00
