According to the IADB, the General Objective of this proposal is to support HNP's analytical and operational agenda to help countries in the region expand and strengthen the provision of services focused on healthy aging and long-term care.The specific objectives are: (i) Map the contributions of health systems in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) to physical and functional autonomy, reducing dependency, and long-term care; (ii) Identify good practices and lessons learned in health care throughout the life cycle from countries with advanced care systems; and (iii) Contribute to defining lines of action for HNP to support countries in the region in strengthening long-term care services and governance in the health sector.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
