Project Description

The general objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to improve the design and implementation of transport projects in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) through the development and application of operational tools and digital solutions that strengthen the operational efficiency, transparency, and management capacity of public sector agencies. To this end, the TC seeks to transfer Spain's knowledge and leadership in institutional modernization, infrastructure management, and the digital transformation of the transport sector, while also leveraging the technical and institutional experience accumulated by the IDB through the implementation of transport projects across the region.

The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
