According to the IADB, the general objective of this technical cooperation (TC) is to deploy public procurement policies and practices that promote interaction with the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem in the region. The specific objectives are: (i) Scaling up public capacities for the design and implementation of Public Procurement of Innovation policies through massive training of public buyers, innovation agencies, and oversight bodies; (ii) Exchanging experiences on Public Procurement of Innovation among countries in Latin America and Spain through case studies and regional events; (iii) Generating specific and local knowledge by supporting the implementation of pilot projects for Public Procurement of Innovation; (iv) Raising awareness within the entrepreneurship ecosystem about the relevance and potential of Public Procurement of Innovation.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
