Project Description

This project provides financing for increased generation capacity and efficiency of the Ghorashal power plant. The components of the project include:

  • the repowering of unit 4 unit through the attachment of a new gas-fired turbine to the existing 4th steam unit and a heat recovery steam generator, power generator, and associated ancillary equipment;
  • the installation of a new 230 kV GIS substation and 230 kV high voltage line;
  • the installation of a new gas pipeline;
  • technical assistance for institutional strengthening support.
