El objetivo general de la Primera Operación de Préstamo Individual (POIP) es apoyar la descarbonización y resiliencia climática de la matriz de generación eléctrica, mejorar la sostenibilidad financiera del sector eléctrico y fortalecer las capacidades que permitan la consideración de las emisiones de deuda en los mercados. de capitales verdes para cumplir con los compromisos climáticos. Los objetivos específicos son: (i) incrementar la capacidad de generación de energía Solar Fotovoltaica (SFV) bajo un enfoque de mitigación del Cambio Climático (CC); (ii) mejorar la eficiencia financiera y operativa y la calidad del servicio eléctrico; (iii) fortalecer las capacidades de las entidades para diseñar y operar proyectos con criterios de Mitigación y Adaptación al Cambio Climático (MyA); y (iv) mejorar las capacidades del sector para monitorear y reportar las acciones e inversiones vinculadas a las M&A al CC en línea con las mejores prácticas del mercado de deuda.
