Project Description

According to the IADB, the overall objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to implement actions that contribute to closing gender and diversity gaps in Guatemala. The specific objectives are: i) to design and implement the Action Plan for Gender Equality in Guatemala, and ii) to improve the provision of social services, with a focus on health and education, for the indigenous population.

El Mecanismo Independiente de Consulta e Investigación (MICI) es el mecanismo independiente de denuncia y organismo de investigación para personas que han sido o probablemente serán afectadas negativamente por un Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID) o la Corporación Interamericana de Inversiones (CII). -proyecto financiado. Si presenta una queja ante el MICI, este puede ayudarlo a abordar los problemas que planteó mediante un proceso de resolución de disputas con quienes implementan el proyecto y/o mediante una investigación para evaluar si el BID o la CII están siguiendo sus propias políticas para prevenir o mitigar el daño a las personas o al medio ambiente.
