According to the IADB, the general objective of the Technical Cooperation (TC) is to support the strengthening of the capacities of the Ministry of Sciences, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation (MCTCI) of Chile for the implementation of public policy in the sector and to better address the challenges of decarbonization and adaptation to climate change. The specific objectives are: (i) to support the MCTCI in the implementation of three bills presented to Congress that seek to strengthen the sector; (ii) to support the MCTCI in the implementation and strengthening of the current agenda of technology transfer and science-based technology companies; and (iii) to support the MCTCI in its role as the Technical Secretariat of the Scientific Advisory Committee on Climate Change in the framework of the preparation of the second update of Chile's Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC).

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
