The objective of technical cooperation (TC) is to contribute to the development of studies and an analysis of job training needs that includes a pilot in the Bolivian Amazon region for the improvement of strategic and sectoral planning of the municipality of Cobija and municipalities of the region. The specific objectives are: (i) develop an urban development plan (ii) prepare a potential study and urban tourism plan; (iii) develop a Strategic Mobility Plan, which includes the development of the Municipal Transportation Program (PROMUT) of Cobija as a comprehensive mobility planning tool, a study for the operation and implementation of cross-border bicycle lanes and the development of an Integration study that promotes the reduction of logistics costs and improvement of Pando's connectivity with the country, neighboring countries and the rest of LAC; the TC also aims to (iv) generate a diagnosis of municipal capacities for the management of the real estate tax and its relationship to the effectiveness of collection and (v) the design of a job training pilot.
ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
