According to the Bank´s website, the objective of the project is to promote socioeconomic development and diversification of productive activities in the department of Iglesia, Province of San Juan, based on synergies between the public sector, the private sector and society. To this end, specific activities will be supported to: (i) contribute to the updating, operationalization and governance of the Strategic Plan for Local Development of Iglesia (ii) promote local economic diversification by supporting the implementation of projects aimed at sustainable economic development (iii) strengthen municipal management capacities.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
