Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

This program funds the Government of Pakistan's national social safety net, known as the Benazir Income Support Program, and provide performance-based increases in funding to the programs. This loan will expand the cash transfer program by funding an additional 2.4 million families and paying the first few quarters of their cash transfers, and will also finance the health insurance and skills development programs.
