This project finances the strengthening of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to increase the proportion of skilled workers in Tajikistan. There are four outputs of this project: a) modernization of the TVET system methodology; b) upgrading of physical learning facilities in select TVET institutions; c) improvements in the access to quality TVET programs; and d) strengthening of TVET system governance and management.
This project builds on, and is related to, the Strengthening Private Sector Participation in Technical and Vocational Education and Training. This project is now closed.
This project includes a three part financing:
1) Loan of US$15 million from the ADB
2) Grant of US$15 million from the ADB
3) Grant of US$2 million from the Clean Energy Fund, under the Clean Energy Financing Partnership Facility
