The general objective of this TC is to continue supporting country offices in their dialogue with policymakers to provide a technical solution on the understanding of all the economic and environmental implications of public policies and investment, through the models and materials developed through the Integrated Economic-Environmental Model (IEEM) Platform. The specific objectives are to: (i) support Country Offices in coordination with country economists on policy dialog with policymakers on economic and environmental issues through training and analyses (86% of the TC funds); and (ii) maintain and improve the Open IEEM Platform project (14% of TC funds).
ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
