According to the Bank’s website, the general objective of this project is to strengthen and connect Amazonian biodiversity research institutes to increase their capacities for bioprospecting and dissemination of scientific knowledge. The specific objectives of the project are: (i) create and operate a digital platform to support collaborative bioprospecting, under the modality of "virtual hub"; (ii) strengthen the capacity of the institutes in the design and execution of bioprospecting strategies, dissemination of knowledge, and management of intellectual property; and (iii) promote collaborative bioprospecting projects.
