As stated by the IADB, the objective of the project is to support FINANEX's mission, that is to support the export potential and volume of micro, small and medium size agribusiness in LAC, generating a sustainable impact in vulnerable rural communities while increasing export availability to countries with food deficit.

Finanex Inc. provides financial support to smallholder farmers in the LAC region.
As stated on the company's website, "since February 2022, our financial support has provided food exporters and their respective smallholder farmers access to essential producing resources, assistance for increased production capacity, innovative simple-to-use technology, and the means to thrive in the competitive global marketplace."

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
