Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

As stated by the NDB, the Project comprises construction of a 15 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic power plant in Raipura, Narsingdi District of Dhaka Division, together with a 14 km tranmission line to a substation at Marjal. 

The Project will contribute to increasing the share of reneable energy in Bangladesh, in line with the Reneable Energy pPolicy 2025, thereby reducting the power sector's reliance on fossil fuels and supporting reductions in carbon emissions.

The project implementing agency is Ashuganj Power Station Company Limited.
