De acuerdo con el IADB, el objetivo de esta cooperacion tecnica (CT) es brindar asistencia tecnica al Gobierno de Panama (GdP) para integrar las consideraciones de cambio climatico en el ordenamiento territorial y sectorial, mediante la armonizacion y fortalecimiento de la normativa existente, asi como el desarrollo de capacidades a nivel sectorial y territorial. Esta cooperacion tecnica busca integrar la gestion del territorio con la adaptacion al cambio climatico y la gestion de recursos naturales, alineando politicas publicas y fomentando sinergias interinstitucionales. En el ambito sectorial busca apoyar el diseno y la construccion de infraestructuras resilientes que puedan soportar eventos climaticos extremos.

The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
