According to the IADB, this operation will continue providing technical support to the Government of Panama to achieve the policy measures identified in the potential second program of the PN-L1175 programmatic series (PN-L1187), an operation supported by this technical-cooperation operation. This TC will allow a technical in-depth study of the laws, regulations, action plans and strategies that are expected to be promoted with the second loan operation in order to contribute to improving the competitiveness of the Panamanian tourism sector.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
