According to the World Bank, the objective of the project is to support Armenia’s efforts to strengthen power transmission infrastructure, increase the use of long-term commercial financing for power sector investments, and scale up energy efficiency and clean energy in the buildings sector.
According to the World Bank, the overall environmental and social risk for the Program is classified as moderate, with key risks related to the rehabilitation of the substations.
According to the World Bank, the Government of the Republic of Armenia will contribute US$ 30 million to the project.
