Project Description

According to the Bank’s website, the objective of this TC is to support the identification and analysis of institutional and regulatory challenges for productive diversification and transformation in the Dominican Republic in order to contribute to strengthening its competitiveness, business climate and private sector development in the country. This will be achieved through: (i) an analysis of the main challenges facing the country in terms of productive diversification, with particular emphasis on the regulatory and institutional framework, as well as policy instruments; and (ii) an in-depth analysis of two strategic sectors selected based on criteria of economic dynamism, technological development and/or sustainability.

Early Warning System Project Analysis
For a project with severe or irreversible impacts to local community and natural resources, the Early Warning System Team may conduct a thorough analysis regarding its potential impacts to human and environmental rights.

The total budget of the CT amounts to US$100,000. The cooperation will be fully financed by the IDB through the OC SDP Ventanilla 2 - Instituciones(W2C), financed with Ordinary Capital
