According to the IDB, the objective is to promote institutional strengthening of the central government institutions responsible for implementing the Multipurpose Cadastre in Colombia, in particular DNP, IGAC, ANT and SNR. This will be achieved by providing operational support to loan CO-L1164, "Program for the Adoption and Implementation of a Rural-Urban Multipurpose Cadastre", which is in the process of being reformulated and extended and has the objective of improving land management in Colombia by implementing a multipurpose cadastral system that includes institutional and technological strengthening of the responsible agencies, which will increase the legal certainty of land tenure, strengthen fiscal management, and ensure more effective land-use planning.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
