According to the Bank’s website, the general objective of this project is to provide technical support to the National Planning Department to promote the development of the digital industry in Colombia through the Strengthening of the Guatiguara Technology Park (PTG). This TC will help develop the preparatory work for the design of a strategy to strengthen said technology park. The strategy and its implementation will be developed starting in 2024 within the framework of cooperation from the Government of South Korea through the Korean Technology Parks Agency (KTPA). Under this initiative, non-refundable support is provided for an amount of up to US$ 7 million to promote the digital industrial ecosystem in Santander, one of the most strategic departments in Colombia for the development of the digital industry.
This Technical Cooperation is not intended to finance pre-feasibility or feasibility studies of specific investment projects or environmental and social studies associated with them, therefore, this TC does not have applicable requirements of the Bank's Environmental and Social Policy Framework.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment. You can submit a complaint by sending an email to MICI@iadb.org. You can learn more about the MICI and how to file a complaint at http://www.iadb.org/en/mici/mici,1752.html (in English) or http://www.iadb.org/es/mici/mici,1752.html (Spanish).
