According to the IADB, the objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to support the Ministry of Health and Social Protection (MSPS) in implementing a program to improve access to health services for vulnerable populations. Specifically, the TC will focus on supporting: (i) the design of special primary health care guidelines for Indigenous populations and other communities with a significant presence in the Amazon; (ii) the development of a strategic plan to strengthen primary health care in the Amazon; (iii) the pilot project to assess the connectivity and interoperability capabilities of public hospitals in the Amazon with public hospitals across the country; and (iv) a plan to enhance digital health services and telemedicine for public hospitals.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
