According to the IADB, the general objective of this Technical Cooperation is to support the materialization of the policy measures included in the Transition Program towards a Carbon Neutral and Resilient Economy (CH-L1179), both in its first and second operation. The specific objectives are: (i) to support the policy measures associated with climate planning in all sectors and levels of government (national, regional, municipal); (ii) support the policy measures associated with the strengthening of climate and environmental institutions, specifically in terms of optimization of sectoral permits; and (iii) support policy measures associated with the introduction of regulations that incentivize public and private investments aligned with carbon neutrality and resilience.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
