Project Description

This MIGA guarantee covers the equity investments of Austria's UniCredit Bank AG and Italy's UniCredit S.p.A in their subsidiary, UniCredit Bank a.d. in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This guarantee covers the equity investments for a period of up to 10 years against the risk of expropriation of funds.

A financial intermediary then lends these funds to their clients (private actors) in the form of loans, bonds, guarantees and equity shares. Financial intermediaries include insurance, pension and equity funds. The direct financial relationship is between the development bank and the financial intermediary.
