As stated on the project disclosure page, the proposed investment is an A loan of up to US$10 million to PLP Properties Ltd to support the development of a 170-room 3-star Hampton by Hilton branded hotel at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra, Ghana.
The design and construction of the project are managed by PLP, in line with the Hilton design standards. The construction was ongoing at the time of the appraisal, and completion is expected by September 2026 and opening by Q2 2027.
As stated by the IFC, PLP was established by the shareholders of Imexco Trading Ventures Ltd to implement and operate the Project. The hotel will be operated by PLP under the Hampton by Hilton franchise. PLP is jointly owned by the Feghali (75%) and Nassar (25%) families, under the leadership of Bernadette Abou Daher Feghali and Jean Assad Nassar.
