The proposed project consists of an equity investment of up to US$20 million in the Bozano Investimentos Growth Capital Fund, L.P. ("Bozano Growth" or "the Fund"), a 10-year closed end generalist private equity fund domiciled in the Cayman Islands and managed by Bozano Investimentos ("Bozano" or the "Fund Manager"). The Fund targets growth capital investments in mid-market companies Brazil. The Fund is targeting US$300 million in commitments. The Fund is expected to make 6 to 8 investments with ticket sizes ranging between US$25million to US$75 million.
(i) Support job creation: The Fund will focus on mid-cap companies with growth capital needs, which tend to have the largest impact on job creation and the most potential for IFC to develop direct relationships through potential co-investment opportunities.
(ii) Access to finance: Fund will provide long term risk capital, which is very difficult for the local mid cap companies to obtain in the current environment.
(iii) Private sector development: Operational, financial, and ESG improvement of local businesses.
It is a 10-year closed end generalist private equity fund domiciled in the Cayman Islands and managed by Bozano Investimentos.
Bozano is an alternative asset manager based in Brazil with approximately US$1 billion in assets under management as of December 31, 2016.
ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IFC
The Compliance Advisor Ombudsman (CAO) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an IFC or MIGA- financed project. If you submit a complaint to the CAO, they may assist you in resolving a dispute with the company and/or investigate to assess whether the IFC is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment. If you want to submit a complaint electronically, you can email the CAO at CAO@worldbankgroup.org. You can learn more about the CAO and how to file a complaint at http://www.cao-ombudsman.org/
