According to the Bank’s website, Pesquera Exalmar S.A.A. started operations in 1997. It belongs to Grupo Matta in Peru, and is a company dedicated to the fishing activity that participates in the capture, processing and commercialization of quality marine products and high protein value, especially fishmeal and fish oil, for human consumption.
IDB Invest will structure a senior guaranteed financing for an amount of up to US$40 million, which includes an uncommitted tranche for up to US$20 million, intended to finance the investment plan to improve efficiency and productivity in existing operations, as well as capital of structural work required by the Company to support its operations at CHD (consumo humano directo) and CHI (consumo humano indirecto).

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IDB / IDB INVEST
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest)-funded project.
