Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

As stated by the DFC, the proposed project involves the development and operation of nine greenfield wind power plants in Western Turkey with an installed capacity of approximately
750 MW. The nine power plants will be located in the Canakkale, Balikesir and Aydin provinces in the Aegean Region.
The power plants will each range from 6 to 60 wind turbines with a total of 181 turbines, with a height ranging from 81m to 111m. Power will be exported to local transfer substations to connect to the national grid via overhead lines, with an approximate total length of 240 km. The project is expected to produce approximately 2,532 GWh per year.

Early Warning System Project Analysis
For a project with severe or irreversible impacts to local community and natural resources, the Early Warning System Team may conduct a thorough analysis regarding its potential impacts to human and environmental rights.
