As stated by the DFC, the proposed project involves the development and operation of nine greenfield wind power plants in Western Turkey with an installed capacity of approximately
750 MW. The nine power plants will be located in the Canakkale, Balikesir and Aydin provinces in the Aegean Region.
The power plants will each range from 6 to 60 wind turbines with a total of 181 turbines, with a height ranging from 81m to 111m. Power will be exported to local transfer substations to connect to the national grid via overhead lines, with an approximate total length of 240 km. The project is expected to produce approximately 2,532 GWh per year.
As stated by the DFC, none of the sites are located in any legally protected areas according to Turkish or international legislation. However, five of the sites are located within or near Key Biodiversity Areas: Biga Mountains, Çanakkale Strait, Kaz Mountains, Büyük Menderes Delta, Akdag – Denizli, Boz Mountains, çük Menderes Delta, Mahal Hills, and Lake Bafa.

Unlike many other development finance institutions, DFC does not currently have an access to information policy.
Under the United States Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), DFC is obliged to respond to reasonably formulated requests for Agency records.
