As stated by the DFC, the project consists of the provision of war risk insurance to businesses and homeowners in Ukraine through a reinsurance facility provided by DFC to Kniazha. According to the bank, this reinsurance will allow primary insurers to offer more comprehensive coverage to their policyholders, which include a range of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and a small share of homeowners, thereby attracting further investment and contributing to Ukraine’s reconstruction and recovery.
As stated on the company's LinkedIn account, Insurance Company "Kniazha Vienna Insurance Group" is a reliable Ukrainian insurance company that has been constantly developing and operating in the Ukrainian insurance market since 1997, and since 2005 it has been a part of the powerful European financial structure Vienna Insurance Group.
As stated by Bloomberg, Vienna Insurance Group AG Wiener Versicherung Gruppe is an Austrian insurance company. The Company offers property and casualty, life, healthcare, and reinsurance. Vienna Insurance operates through a network of offices in Austria and Eastern Europe.

Unlike many other development finance institutions, DFC does not currently have an access to information policy.
Under the United States Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), DFC is obliged to respond to reasonably formulated requests for Agency records.
