According to bank's website, the proposed technial assistance aims to establish the Adaptation and Resilience Financing Facility (ARFF) at Eldik Bank as a critical solution to the escalating climate vulnerabilities threatening the Kyrgyz Republic's economy. The TA will design a specialized financing architecture to overcome prohibitive barriers preventing micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) from investing in essential climate adaptation and resilience measures.

The “Eldik Bank” was founded in 1996 to provide services to the population. Over the years, the Bank has confirmed its reliability and has earned the trust of the population, as evidenced by the ever-increasing number of customers. The priorities of the “Eldik Bank’s” development include increasing the level of service, expanding the range of banking services, improving the quality and accessibility of services for all segments of the population and the corporate segment. The “Eldik Bank” strives to become a better Bank servicing the population and small and medium-sized businesses throughout the territory of Kyrgyzstan, and to ensure the availability of banking services for all population groups and categories of business.
