The proposed project aims to improve the water supply system in the country's capital, Dhaka, by making it more reliable, sustainable, and climate-resilient. It will consolidate and enhance the gains made in the efficiency of the water distribution network achieved under two ongoing Asian Development Bank (ADB) projects, and improve the service delivery and the capacity of the Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (DWASA).
According to the bank documents, this project will be co-financed by the Agence Francaise de Developpement and European Investment Bank:

The Accountability Mechanism is an independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an Asian Development Bank-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the Accountability Mechanism, they may investigate to assess whether the Asian Development Bank is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment.
