According to bank provided-information, the objective of this Technical Assistance project is to support Algebra Ventures to transform their AGM convening into a platform for wider community engagement by supporting the design and delivery of a curated Mini-Conference alongside the AGM for 2026 and 2027 events.
The planned AGM & Mini-Conference is not simply an LP reporting session; it is a broader ecosystem convening that will bring together founders (portfolio and beyond), investors, and partners in a curated setting.
Algebra Ventures is a leading technology VC firm in Egypt. The team launched their first early-stage venture fund in 2016, and their firm is aimed at investing in technology start-ups that leverage innovation to transform large markets. The Algebra team is based in Cairo.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF FMO
Communities who believe they will be negatively affected by a project funded by the Dutch Development Bank (FMO) may be able to file a complaint with the Independent Complaints Mechanism, which is the joint independent accountability mechanism of the Dutch Development Bank (FMO) and the German Investment Corporation (KfW). A complaint can be filed in writing, by email, post, or online. The complaint can be filed in English or any other language of the complainant. The Independent Complaints Mechanism is comprised of a three-member Independent Expert Panel and it can provide either problem-solving, compliance review or both, in either order. Additional information about this accountability mechanism, including a guide and template for filing a complaint, can be found at: https://www.fmo.nl/independent-complaints-mechanism
