According to the Bank’s website, The Local Champions Initiative is a transformative tool that enables IFC to engage with SMEs in fragile contexts, fostering their growth and expanding the pipeline of bankable projects. By providing a standardized package of technical assistance and tailored support, the initiative addresses critical capacity gaps, helping firms align with IFC’s investment requirements at scale. This approach not only strengthens the operational and financial resilience of SMEs but also catalyzes local economic growth, creates jobs, and enhances sustainable development in regions where support is most needed.
Estimated Total Budget: $2,918,948.00 (Project budget includes all project-funded activities)

If you submit a complaint to the CAO, they may assist you in resolving a dispute with the company and/or investigate to assess whether the IFC is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment. If you want to submit a complaint electronically, you can email the CAO at CAO@worldbankgroup.org You can learn more about the CAO and how to file a complaint at http://www.cao-ombudsman.org
