According to bank provided information, IFC is considering an equity investment of up to US$4 million in Gigmile Technologies Ltd (“Gigmile” or the “Company”). The Company provides lease-to-own financing for two-wheeler and three-wheeler commercial vehicles used by drivers, logistics operators, and other micro-entrepreneurs to generate income. Through its financing platform, Gigmile addresses a significant gap in access to productive asset financing for customers that are underserved by traditional lenders. The proposed investment will support the Company’s growth and expansion while increasing access to commercial vehicle ownership in its target markets.
The proposed IFC equity investment is for up to $4 million.
Shares of the Company are held by its co-founders, Kayode Adeyinka and Samuel Esiri, institutional investors (including Enza Capital, Techstars Accelerators, and Seedstars Ventures), and angel investors.
