According to bank provided information, the proposed investment is an unfunded risk participation for up to €50 million in a €150 million bilateral facility extended by Societe Generale Paris (“SG”) for Touton S.A. (“Touton” or the “Group”), leading global cocoa, coffee and vanilla commodity trader for more than 150 years, to finance the procurement and export of traceable cocoa mainly from IDA Countries; Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana and Cameroon (the Facilities, the Project).
The proposed facility will involve trade transaction mainly in West Africa.
Total project cost will be up to EUR 150 million with IFC’s investment of up to EUR50 million in the form of an unfunded participation.
