Project Description

This project funds the installation of and 5 years of operation and maintenance support for a 600 MW (net) supercritical coal-fired unit to replace Heavy Fuel Oil power generation. It funds installation of emission control devices for existing units and removal of pollutants from the site to improve compliance with international and national environmental standards. Additionally, the project provides coal-fired plant operation training and integration of that training into technical school curriculums, and financial, technical, and operational training to GENCO Holding Company Limited and Jamshoro Power Company Limited.
