Project Description

According to the bank website, the project consists of a participation of up to US$40m in a US$200m senior secured borrowing base facility in favour of the Kernel Group. Kernel is a leading agribusiness producer, processor and grain/seeds trader operating in Ukraine. The Facility has helped and will continue to help Kernel manage its grain value chain from production and storage in Ukraine to commercialization in multiple destinations through its Infrastructure and Trading segment. This segment includes an inland grain silo network of 30 silos with total grain storage capacity of 2.3 million tons and two export port terminals for grain storages and transhipment facilities, located in the port of Chornomorsk.
