According to the bank's website, "The proposed IFC investment would comprise of a 3-year senior financing package, consisting of (i) an IFC anchor investment of up to US$10 million equivalent Khmer Riel (KHR) in the first KHR social bond (Social Bond), to be be issued by AMK Microfinance Institute Plc (AMK) for an aggregate amount of up to US$30 million equivalent KHR; and (ii) an up to US$5 million senior loan to AMK. The proceeds from the Social Bond and senior loan will directly support women borrowers, farmers, women-led very small enterprises (VSE), and small and medium enterprises (SME)."

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IFC
The Compliance Advisor Ombudsman (CAO) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an IFC or MIGA- financed project. If you submit a complaint to the CAO, they may assist you in resolving a dispute with the company and/or investigate to assess whether the IFC is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment.
