According to the bank, the IDB Invest is considering a financing of up to US$60 million to VM Group Limited ("VM Group"), structured in two tranches: (i) Tranche I: a senior unsecured loan of US$30 million, with a term of up to 10 years, including a moratorium period of up to two years; and Tranche II: an uncommitted guarantee by IDB Invest to assist VM Group with sourcing local currency funding in the Jamaican capital markets (the "Local Funding"), for an amount equivalent in Jamaican Dollars ("J$") to US$30 million.
The Borrower intends to expand its reach in serving the green and Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprise ("MSME") segments while delivering mortgage solutions for affordable housing in Jamaica.

The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest)-funded project.
