According to the IDBI, BID Invest states its intention to become a shareholder in Caja Municipal de Ahorro y Credito Cusco (the "Caja" or "Caja Cusco"), for an amount equivalent in Peruvian soles ("PEN") of up to ~US$20.6 million (the "Investment" or the "Project").
The Investment is expected to represent a minimum of 7.5% of the Caja's total shares. The objective of the Investment is to strengthen the Caja's capital structure ("Tier I"), which benefits the capital adequacy ratio and supports the continued sustainable growth of the Micro and Small Enterprises ("MSEs") in Peru.

The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest)-funded project.
