Project Description

Solxir S.A., a subsidiary of Grupo RAS ("the Group"), is a vertically integrated transportation and logistics conglomerate headquartered in Uruguay, with operations across Latin America and over three decades of industry experience. As part of its strategic growth plan, the Group is seeking a secured senior loan of up to US$20 million to acquire cutting-edge locomotives and railway equipment. This investment will support the launch of freight transport operations along Uruguay's Central Railway. The new locomotives will link the Group's flagship logistics hub, Parque Industrial Ruta 5 (PIR5), with the Port of Montevideo and key towns and industrial zones throughout the country's interior, enhancing Uruguay's multimodal logistics capabilities, boosting operational efficiency, lowering logistics costs, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
