The general objective of this technical cooperation is to support the strengthening of public agricultural services in Uruguay. The specific objectives are: (i) prepare technical studies that serve as input for the National Irrigation Strategy; (ii) analyze institutional and operational aspects of the National Agricultural Research Institute (INIA) that will lead to a proposal to improve the services provided; and (iii) formulate studies that serve as inputs to: a) modernize the agricultural institutional settings and the provision of public agricultural services in the country.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IDB / IDB INVEST
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest)-funded project.
