The general objective of technical cooperation is to support the transformation and strengthening of the State Procurement System of the State of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay in the technological, operational and institutional fields, supporting the consolidation of the reform to obtain greater efficiency in public spending and value for money in public purchases. Its specific objectives are: 1) to assist in strengthening the information system (combining its transactional and analytical aspects) of State purchases; 2) support the regulatory development of strategic purchasing modalities; 3) assist in the design of an initiative for the professionalization of buyers and suppliers of the State through a knowledge center
ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
