Project Description

According to the NDB, the Project involves construction of necessary water supply infrastructure and facilities to provide improved quality and regular water supply to the southeast zone of the Guwahati city. The major components of the Project include water intake system, treatment plant, reservoirs, and distribution network with household connections. 

The Project aims at providing access to 24×7 piped drinking water supply of not less than 135 liters per capita per day for a projected population in 2038 of around 520,000 people in southeast Guwahati.
