Project Description

According to the IADB, this Technical Cooperation (TC) seeks to deepen the strategic and economic partnership between the Republic of Korea and the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region. Building on the strong momentum of the recently announced "New Cooperation Package" between the IDB Group and the Government of Korea, this TC aims to: (1) facilitate inclusive, sustainable economic partnerships and trade relations; (2) promote co-innovation and joint investments; (3) build resilient supply chains in critical sectors; and (4) strengthen public and private sector capacities through targeted knowledge exchange and dynamic business networking platforms.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB

The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
