Project Description

According to the IADB, the overall objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to strengthen the institutional capacity of the Alliance's members to address challenges in the citizen security sector through the generation, systematization, and dissemination of knowledge on violence and crime in the region. To this end, the TC will strengthen the technical, operational, and administrative capacities of the Alliance's Technical Secretariat to support the implementation of the 2026 Annual Operational Plan, including its governance processes, the development and delivery of knowledge- based products under each of its pillars, and the corresponding dissemination efforts.

The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
